My wife and I were on vacation in Paris last week, walking down the street, when a thought occurred to her, “where are all the fat people”? That is not to say no one in the City of Lights is obese but the difference in body type between those we saw walking the streets contrasted vastly with what we would see when going out in our suburban Atlanta neighborhood. More importantly, if the lack of obese people walking the streets was so noticeable, what was the cause?
