2010 Grande Covian Award | France
National Center for Scientific Research and professor at the School of Medicine of Grenoble for his long career in the field of research, which has resulted in numerous articles and scientific publications that support the benefits of the Mediterranean Diet as a healthy lifestyle that can contribute to disease prevention.
1998 Grande Covian Award | Professor of Human Nutrition at the School of Medicine, University of Rome. Collaborator of Dr. Keys in the Italian section of the Seven Countries Study.
Scientist at the International Agency for Cancer Research in Lyon, has participated in more than 900 articles on oncology, and is the advisor to the division of Epidemiology of the European Institue of Oncology in Milan.
2006 Grande Covian Award (FDM X Anniversary) | Director of Mount Sinai Heart at the Mount Sinai Medicial Center in New York, President of the World Heart Federation, Professor of Heart Research Foundation at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, among other important posts. Author of more than 400 articles on coronary artery disease, arteriosclerosis and thrombosis. During his long scientific career, he has demonstrated the benefits of the Mediterranean in preventing cardiovascular disease.
1996 Grande Covian Award | Was part of the group driving the defelopment of the Meidterranean Diet Pyramid, published by FAO/WHO/HARVARD.
2008 Grande Covian Award | Head of the Department of Epidemiology at the Institute of Pharmacological Research Mario Negri in Milan, has contributed to epidemiological research with more than 1,7000 previously published articles and was honored with the Glaxo Prize.
2006 Grande Covian Award | BA from Columbia Uniersity (New York) and Ph.D. From Harvard, he is the head of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Nutrition at the Hospital of St. Luke’s Roosevelt, and is the director of the Centre for Obesity Research in New York. His research focuses primarily on the metabolism of carbohydrates and lipids, obesity and diabetes.
2010 Grande Covian Award | Director of Research at INSERM in Bordeauz and Professo rat the Université de Montréal, for his long career in the field of research, which has resulted in numerous articles and scientific publications that support the benefits of the Mediterranean Diet as a healthy lifestyle that can contribute to disease prevention.
2002 Grande Covian Award | Professor of cancer prevention and epidemiology at the School of Public Health at Harvard University. Author and co-author of more than 1,000 publications, has been cited over 12,000 times in scientific papers internationally.
2002 Grande Covian Award | MD, Master of Public Health, PhD in Biochemistry and Nutrition. She is the Director of the Collaborating Centre of the World Health Organization (WHO), Department of Hygiene and Epidemiology, Athens Medical School. She has received numerous honours and awards, including the Grande Covian Award for her studies of the health effects of the Mediterranean Diet. University of Athens (Greece).
2004 Grande Covian Award | Professor of Epidemiology and Nutrition, Chair of the Department of Nutrition, Harvard School of Public Health and Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. Studies the effects of Diet on the occurrence of serious diseases, has published over 800 articles and has written the popular book “Eat, Drink and Be Healthy: The Harvard Medical School Guide to Healthy Eating” that has appeard on the bestseller list.
